Two years later...the end of maintenance!

Today marked my last day of immune therapy!  Happy dance over here!  I got a new certificate and song from the oncology nurses, they are so awesome.  And got my PET scan results back, still coming back with a complete metabolic response.  Couldn't ask for a better outcome.

One of my favorite oncology nurses is now pregnant, a great reminder that life goes on and there are little ones to cuddle.  In a week, when I can have a drink, I will be raising a frosty margarita and toasting the end of 2.5 years of treatment and to a healthy baby for one amazing nurse.

3 people threw a punch at your cancer.
Thomas, Lori sent you a prayer.

Great to hear, congratulations and I bet you are glad to have it done. Ed just finished his 6 months of treatment, he will be having a CT in September and then will be starting maintainance in October. I have been thelling him about you and he also says congrats, thank you so much for you posts they have really helped him. I think your case is probably the closest to his that I found and your info has really helped him out Hugs and Sunshine and Smiles

I'm so glad Ed is through with the chemo. That's honestly the worst part. Maintenance is a breeze, just got to deal with the long infusion. I'm praying for good results for him on his CT. Nothing worse than scan-xiety!!
What an amazing milestone! Does this mean your active treatment has been completed?
I will be raising a toast right along with you next week, Stefanie: it couldn't have happened to a nicer, more generous, BAD ASS warrior. YAY!! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

Yep, I am all done. No more treatments, and actually after September the doctor said I only have to come every six months for a checkup!

Big hugs to you and the Hulk! Thanks for all your support!

Great news is always welcome at the BFAC News Center! Can't you just hear Walter Cronkite saying, "And that's the way it is, July 17th, Twenty-Seventeen, and Stefanie has completed her chemo treatments...Walter Cronkite, CBS Evening News, Goodnight".

lol I can hear his voice saying that! Some people just have iconic voices! Thanks for your support John.
Congratulations Stef! I can't believe how quickly time passes. I'm so glad you are feeling well. By all means, have that drink in toasting that nice nurse, and have another for the remarkable handle you had on everything. God bless.😘
